Stonie Clark
Born in Gladewater Texas in 1974, Stonie enjoyed a childhood filled with love, laughter, family and sports. His successes on the gridiron and in the classroom earned him a scholarship to attend the University of Texas at Austin. Stonie was a star defensive lineman for the Longhorns, lettering in 1992, 1993, 1994 and 1995. He was the defensive captain of the final Southwest Conference Championship team (1995) and the author of one of the most memorable plays in UT history. 'The Stop', Stonie's game winning tackle vs Oklahoma, was Sports Illustrated's Defensive Play of the Year (1994) and has garnered him recognition throughout the state and endeared him to Longhorn fans throughout the country.
After a year of perfecting his grandmother's Southern Tea Cake recipe, Stonie started Stonie Clark's Tea Cake Co. after seeing a void in the market for light, freshly baked treats that contained less sugar than anything being offered. Stonie Clark's Tea Cake Co. is headquartered in Austin, TX.
